The Amancio Ortega Foundation is involved in the construction of this building that forms part of the network of Galiña azul nursery schools in Galicia.
It is dedicated to the teaching children aged 0 to 3 years by encouraging the development of their personalities and abilities in a collaborative environment with their families.
The building is a shelter for the life that takes place within it, a shelter that accompanies, in a serene and peaceful manner, the progress of the daily activities of the children.
It is an architectural space that welcomes the person, a sensitive receptacle for the life in which it occurs... For the concentration in learning, for the tranquility of sleep to the rhythm of little steps on the floor.
The approach of this work follows a simple horizontal line, a sequence of measurable and ordered spaces that give a stable equilibrium, a calm and a will to stay.
The school is organized through a central corridor that connects all the rooms together and in turn creates an ongoing relationship with the exterior.
The rooms are serene, warm and bright spaces where color, textures, shapes, ... Strengthening that silent way of understanding architecture, so that the true protagonist is the child.
